Patient Requests

Medical Certificates

If you require a certificate you will be required to make an appointment either face to face or via telehealth. Please be aware that medical certificates are legal documents and they cannot be backdated.

Prescriptions

Patients will need to make an appointment with their treating doctor if they need a renewal of their prescription. We believe if you are taking prescribed medication, it is important for your condition to be reviewed regularly. Repeat prescriptions may not be issued unless you attend your doctor for review. (Please consider asking your regular pharmacist for a short term supply if you have run out of medication until you can be seen by a doctor).

Referrals

Specialist referrals will not be issued without an appointment, and cannot be backdated under any circumstances. Patients must make sure they have a valid referral prior to attending specialist appointments and should be aware that requests for referrals less than 24 hours prior to specialist appointments may not be possible.

Results

When your doctor sends you for any tests it is our clinic policy that you make a review appointment with your doctor to discuss your results, (even if they are normal), to ensure optimal, good quality medical care and understanding of your health.

Our nurses may send an SMS or call you to come in earlier for any abnormal results otherwise follow up as planned via a face-to-face or telehealth consultation.

Do not assume your results are normal and you don't need to follow up if we don't contact you (just in case your sample has gone missing, or the results have not been sent to us properly).
